PocketPCForms Server

Use PocketPCForms server to provide a centralised forms solutions repository so users can find forms easily and administrators can control forms access and deployment.

Centralise control over who can create and publish forms. With PocketPCForms server business users can design and deploy forms, but administrators retain control over who is permitted to publish forms to the server and manage form distrabution.

Mobile workers around the world can securely connect to your web service to retrieve revision-controlled documents or save collected information.

Technology

PocketPCForms server runs on a Windows Server connected to the Internet or to your company's Intranet and uses Microsoft SQL Server for data storage Using a technology called "XML Web Services", the PocketForms server software can communicate with workstations running PocketPCForms Designer or Pocket PC devices running PocketPCForms Viewer using standard Internet protocols. This means that your remote mobile workers can connect through your company firewall just like they would with browser-based applications.



Scalable and Secure

PocketPCForms Server is a Microsoft .Net application that uses separate business and data layers for reliability and scalability. The system implements recommendations from Microsoft's best practices group to insure security. All transactions with client software use an encrypted authentication token to assure security. Of course, the system can be operated on a secure channel in situations where higher security requirements exist.
