PocketForms makes it very easy for you to move forms between your PC and a connected
Pocket PC.
To demonstrate, let's start with a single form template that is located on the hard
drive of our laptop.
The Synchronize option lets us perform all necessary updates with a single click.
We'll synchronize manually, however, to provide a more visual illustration.
Notice here that PocketForms automatically detects when our Pocket PC is docked
in its cradle.
Using the option to copy forms to our device, we can select our form and proceed.
Now let's switch over to our Pocket PC and locate the form template that we just
deployed.
Working off-line, let's record a couple of failed inspections.
This form is fairly typical and, to save time, we'll jump ahead to the point where
we've finished filling out the forms.
Switching to our forms list, we can see the forms we've just filled out.
Now back on our laptop, we've just cradled the Pocket PC and wish to retrieve collected
information.
Again, we could use automated synchronization, but we'll do it manually instead
for this illustration.
Selecting the option to "Copy forms from the device", we see the emulator shows
us the forms which are on the cradled Pocket PC. We will select them both and click
"Copy".
Based on our preferences, the forms have been removed from the device to free up
space.
Switching back to the Forms List, you can now see the two filled-out forms are available
for review.
